Electronic Waste Disposal Ban Effective July 1st 2013

Beginning July 1, 2013 , you will no longer be able to dispose of most of

your consumer electronics in your trash. Senate Bill 12-133, known as

the “Electronic Recycling Jobs Act” prohibits the disposal of waste

electronic devices (e-waste) in Colorado as of July 1, 2013.

One may no longer put their obsolete electronics in their household trash.

Electronics that are prohibited are: TV’s, CPU’s, computer monitors,

printers, fax machines, laptops, notebooks, ultra books, net books, electronic

tablets, DVD players, VCR’s, radios, stereos, game consoles and

video display devices .
