Applewood Night Out a HUGE Success

Thank you to everyone who made it out to our Applewood Night Out! We expanded this year's Movie Night to start earlier, include more entertainment in the form of a bounce castle and band, had a visit from our friends at West Metro Fire, and invited a couple of food trucks to feed the masses. Oh yeah, and had some great establishments donate beverages. We estimate that we had 300+ people attend, and we took plenty of notes on how to improve upon this for next year (more food trucks, 2nd bounce castle).

Vendors that helped make the night possible were:

Ratio Beerworks: Scott Kaplan - neighbor, and co-founder of Ratio Beerworks (https://www.facebook.com/ratiobeerworks/) - donated a couple of sixtels of beer last night. We did not give him nearly enough credit, so please say thanks if you see him and definitely visit his fine establishment and buy his beer.

Mountain Toad: Another great, local connection. Downtown Golden establishment Mountain Toad Brewing donated a sixtel of their kolsch. http://mountaintoadbrewing.com/

Maui Shave Ice: Served some awesome sweet, icy treats. We only estimated 70-100 servings for her, and she served 200+ and stayed open late to make sure everyone got their treats. Super grateful! https://www.mauishaveice.info/

RagBag Bistro Truck: Got totally swamped, as we were very conservative in our estimates, but still managed to serve some delicious food. They gave us some tips for next year - namely, get at least one more food truck. Good folks. Hope you enjoyed them! https://www.facebook.com/RagBagBistro/

The Fabulous Honey Badgers: Awesome local band, fronted by neighbor Sean Plumb. They rocked the party and laid down a great soundtrack to a wonderful evening. https://www.facebook.com/EricaandtheHoneyBadgers/

InFUNity Events: Bounce castle providers. Pretty easy to work with, had a HUGE selection of bounce houses and obstacle courses to choose from. We'll probably get two next year because there were so many kids. https://www.infunityevents.com/

Ultimate Outdoor Events: For the 2nd year in a row, the producers of our movie event. Reliable, good equipment, and did a great job making sure we were happy with the experience. https://www.uoe.com/
