Hey all, just wanted to let you all know about SustainAbility, a local waste/recycling company with two drop-off locations, one of which is in Wheat Ridge (4930 Iris Street, 80033), in addition to residential and commercial pick-up services. Check out their website at www.sustainability-recycling.com for more information about them. Also, they collaborate with 8 Whole Foods Markets stores in the Denver-area for electronic waste (e-waste) collection drives year round on various Saturdays and Sundays (see www.sustainability-recycling.com/#!event-calendar/c1vud for details). Remember, as of July 1, 2013 you cannot dispose of e-waste in your household trash. Examples of electronics that are now prohibited are: TV’s, CPU’s, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, laptops, notebooks, ultra books, net books, electronic tablets, DVD players, VCR’s, radios, stereos, game consoles and video display devices. Lastly, you can drop off Hard to Recycle Materials at SustainAbility as well, instead of driving up to Boulder to go to eco-cycle's CHaRM facility. When in doubt, do NOT throw it out!! Check their list of accepted Hard to Recycle Materials at www.sustainability-recycling.com/#!hard-to-recycle/c1kyb.
